What Is Our Design Process
What happens when we start to work on your site? The process of getting a site online varies considerably depending on the particular site and its requirements. It can however be broken into four phases:
Stage One - Planning
You will be very busy at this stage, and so will we! Among the areas that require careful planning are your content, how you will reach your audience, what functionality you will require, where images for the site will be sourced, what search terms are likely to be important for your site, how your site will be maintained in the future and who will maintain it. These are the main issues, each site will have its individual issues that need to be addressed at this point. We will spend some time at this phase deciding on the best and most cost effective technologies and methods to use to achieve your aims.
Stage Two - Design and Development
The site design is put in place and a template for its final appearance is created. You will have constant input and together we will work on the design until it meets your requirements. At this point we will get any scripts or programming required in place and test them thoroughly. We will also install and configure your content management system, if you are using one.
Stage Three - Construction
The pieces are put together, content is added, images are manipulated and optimised and a real working site begins to take shape. We will work together to test all aspects of the site as they are integrated and to tweak them until the whole site is working smoothly.
Stage Four - Implementation
The site is launched and its use is monitored carefully for some time. This is a particularly important stage for those sites which incorporate a lot of user interaction, such as membership based or e-commerce sites. Changes are made as required and user feedback is examined carefully. We will also submit your site to major Search Engines and Directories at this stage, and can help you to plan a more extensive marketing campaign for your site.
